Our History
CWR was founded in 2006 by clean tech engineer Andrew Cox and Aquatic Ecologist David Nettleton. They shared a joint belief that swimming pools could and should be chlorine-free, and naturally healthy. For over 10 years, we worked in partnership with the University of the West of England and Cranfield University to pioneer the world’s most advanced pool filtration system utilising bio-filtration, fine filtration and natural minerals to provide crystal clear, chlorine-free water. Whilst developing our technology we’ve built a leading pool design and build company which acts as a vehicle for making chlorine-free, natural filtration, the industry standard.
How we work
Building and maintaining great relationships with clients, designers and main contractors is hugely important to our team. It’s what makes our work rewarding and enjoyable. To build trust, we realise that honesty and integrity must be principles adopted by everyone in the business.
We are open with our clients and collaborators about the unique challenges of each build from the outset and favour quality over quantity when taking on new projects.
Beyond this, we are a team of individuals. We don’t really believe in forced corporate ‘mission statements’, ‘visions’ and ‘values’ and we like to give our people the space to be themselves which leads to more open, honest communication and more personal client relationships.
Projects we take on
We cover most of the UK and our typical project value is between £80k and £500k. We design and build indoor pools, outdoor pools, basement pools, one-piece pools and stainless steel pools. The key thing we look for in any new project is a desire from all stakeholders for a quality end result that we can be proud of and that the client will love.
We don’t typically take on renovation work but can often point you in the direction of a company who can. Our sister company Origin Aqua offer filtration conversion, retrofitting Mineral+Biome technology to existing pools.
